May 29th to June 1st
Stage with young talent from Fontys Conservatory
This year, Stedelijk Museum Breda is participating in the Breda Jazz Festival for the first time – and we are proud of it! As one of the 20 venues, we offer a unique experience: high-level jazz concerts performed by young talent in an inspiring and intimate setting.
In our museumcafe, students from the Fontys Academy of the Arts perform twice per festival day. This conservatory acts as the breeding ground for emerging creative talent, where young creators from the fields of music, theater, dance, circus, and visual arts meet to experiment, collaborate, and find their own voice.
A wonderful collaboration that we are proud of and one that demonstrates that jazz still inspires young people; jazz is as alive as it has always been.
The concerts in the museumcafe are free to attend. Of course, you can visit the museum before or after the concerts. Discover our current exhibitions here or plan your visit here.
