The sixteenth-century masterpiece The Garden of Earthly Delights by Jheronimus Bosch continues to fascinate many people to this day. For centuries, people have wondered where Bosch drew his inspiration from and what the hidden meanings in the painting are. The famous triptych still evokes curiosity and exciting theories. Together with Nieuwe Veste and Tiuri, we are now joining forces to bring this mystery back to life in a contemporary way.
Tiuri adds its own interpretation of The Garden of Earthly Delights to the exhibition Engelbrecht's Earthly Delights with a performance. This theater company, which focuses on the development of the exceptional talents of young people with disabilities, takes you on a journey along the three panels. They do this using the themes of temptation, togetherness, and the ups and downs of life.
Tiuri's performance takes place in the courtyard of Nieuwe Veste, a meeting place for language, creativity, and art. Nieuwe Veste offers an inspiring place to tell stories and therefore proudly presents this unique interpretation of The Garden of Earthly Delights.

Levendige route
Om de bijzondere samenwerking van deze culturele organisaties te benadrukken, maakt Tiuri letterlijk een verbinding tussen Stedelijk Museum Breda en Nieuwe Veste. This initiative is part of Royal Roots, a multi-year program about the Bredase Nassaus and the origins of the royal family, in which cultural and economic partners collaborate. The 2024 program focuses on "The Garden of Earthly Delights."
