Now showing: an impressive series of artist documentaries, continuously screened at the whole and half hour in our auditorium. These films are a great addition to the exhibitions that were previously displayed in our museum, which focuses on art in and out of Breda. You can also watch the documentaries here on this page.
Helen Vergouwen - Balance in corten steel
In 2021-22, we showcased Balance in corten steel on our patio, an overview of the work of Helen Vergouwen (Rucphen, 1960). In this documentary, the artist shares insights about her working process, among other things.
Sacha! 50 years of fashion photography
In 2021, the renowned photographer Sacha van Dorssen (Rotterdam, 1940) returned to Breda with her first retrospective exhibition, Sacha. In the documentary, she visits the old location of the St. Joost Academy, where she learned to photograph.
Pieter Laurens Mol – Night Flight
In 2022, we collaborated with artist Pieter Laurens Mol (Breda, 1946) to create a comprehensive overview of his work. Titled Nachtvlucht, the exhibition explored the significance of the color black. The documentary introduces the artist and his conceptual universe.
José Maria Capricorne - Mother Tree
In 2023-24, we focus on the paintings, drawings, and sculptures of artist José Maria Capricorne (Curacao, 1932). In the documentary, he shares insights about his life and the influence of his cultural background on his work.
